Description
Essential Functions:
- Supervise the Pharmacy Technicians in the Director of Pharmacy’s absence.
- Knows and applies current Pharmacy Theory appropriate to the age of patients served, follows Standards of Care and Standards of Practice to provide Pharmacy services.
- Utilizes principles of Strategic Quality Management, maintains a safe environment
- Directs and delegates assignments to staff, contributes to a collaborative practice with other disciplines.
- Behaves and practices in a manner consistent with the mission and objectives of NRMC.
- Accurately compounds medications and IV preparation.
Skills Abilities:
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels.
- Computer skills and motor coordination/manual dexterity.
- Ability to perform simple mathematical equations needed to accurately compound medications and prepare IV’s.
- Adaptable to changing work patterns based on census and facility needs.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to distressed patients, families or visitors.
- Possible exposure to inside environmental conditions.
Physical Demands:
- Requires standing, sitting, walking for up to 12 hours, or longer per day.
- The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Requirements:
- Must maintain a telephone in residence for call in time.
- Must live within 30 miles from the facility.
- Graduate from an accredited school of Pharmacy.
- Must currently hold a registered pharmacist license in the State of Missouri or must be eligible for reciprocity from another state.
Preferred Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience
