Pay: Base Wage starting at $15; increased based on experience

Essential Functions:

• Using technical equipment to safely draw blood from patients. 
• Clearly explaining the process of drawing blood to the patients and answering any questions they may have regarding collection techniques.
• Registering the blood and storing it in the correct environment. 
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment and adhere to all health and safely standards while working. 
• Ensure optimal quality and quantity of samples. 
• Keep accurate records on fluid specimens and tests. 
• Correctly label samples and send or deliver them for testing. 

Skills Abilities:

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels.
• Ability to complete competency CPR and First Aid.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical equations.
• Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Working Conditions:

• Exposure to distressed patients, families or visitors.
• Possible exposure to inside environmental conditions.

Physical Demands:

• Requires standing, sitting or walking for up to 8 hours or longer per day.
• The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Class C Basic Life Support (CPR) within 90 days of employment and renewed biannually. 
• Must adhere to NRMC appearance and attire policy.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in hospital or clinical setting.
