Pay: Base Wage starting at $36; increased based on experience

Essential Functions:
- Consult with patients to learn about their physical condition.
- Assess and interpret patient evaluations and test results.
- Develop treatment plans using a variety of treatment techniques.
- Create personalized fitness-oriented health care programs for patients.
- Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve mobility.
- Advise patients on exercise techniques.
- Advise patients and their families about in-home treatment options.
- Provide educational information about injury prevention, ergonomics and ways to promote physical health.
- Consult and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
- Document patient care history.
- Comply with rules, regulations, and procedures.
Skills Abilities:
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels.
- Ability to complete competency for CPR/First Aid.
- Ability to perform simple mathematical equations.
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Compassionate and attentive to detail. Ability to manage patients with different personalities.
- Possess up-to-date knowledge of treatment practices.
- Ability to write reports and correspondence at a professional level.
- Ability to use a computer and software proficiently. Drive to continually learn new treatment techniques.
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to distressed patients, families or visitors.
- Possible exposure to inside environmental conditions.
Physical Demands:
- Requires standing, sitting or walking for up to 8 hours or longer per day.
- The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Requirements:
- A master degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational institution.
- Passed the National Physical Therapist Examination (NPTE).
- A valid license to practice physical therapy.
- Completion of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA)-accredited residency program.
Preferred Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience
- Experience in hospital setting preferred.
