Description
Essential Functions:
- Review work schedules and assign duties to workers to maintain patient flow and achieve production goals.
- Oversees staff in operation of imaging equipment, such as x-ray machine, fluoroscope, CT scanner, or MRI equipment.
- Implements and monitors radiation safety measures to ensure safety of patients and staff and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develops and implements plans, policies. and procedures regarding operations and staffing, and the purchasing of radiology supplies.
- Provide input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility.
- Provides input into developing the budget.
- Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
- Communicate with physicians and providers to ensure standard of care is met.
- Achieve productivity goal.
- Assign work and duty requirement to staff.
- Audit charges and modifiers.
- Timely submission of electronic payroll.
- Prepares critical results report and posts monthly.
- Conducts staff and patient rounding.
Skills Abilities:
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels.
- Ability to complete competency CPR and First Aid
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to distressed patients, families or visitors.
- Possible exposure to inside environmental conditions.
Physical Demands:
- Requires standing, sitting or walking for up to 12 hours or longer per day.
- The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Requirements:
- Credential with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
- 3+ years experience in a management/ supervisory role.
Preferred Requirements:
- Certified Radiology Administrator
- Bachelors degree in healthcare
