The Chief Executive Officer is responsible to the Board of Directors for overall operation of Nevada Regional Medical Center (NRMC). The CEO is responsible for ensuring that all NRMC services, including contracted services, and programs are in compliance with the vision and mission of NRMC. The CEO also ensures that NRMC meets the community’s healthcare needs.

Responsible to see that the hospital is in compliance with all local, state, and federal legislation and regulations.

Ensures that Medical Staff Bylaws and Rules and Regulations are enforced to ensure quality physician practice outcomes.

3.

Ensures that NRMC bylaws are followed and are reviewed and updated annually.

4.

Positions NRMC to meet local and regional healthcare needs, as well as positioning NRMC for strategic financial success.

5.

Provides leadership in the community and state regarding healthcare needs and planning.

6.

Ensures that NRMC is involved with state and federal hospital organizations legislation, finance and community health.

7.

Directs the development and implementation of short- and long-range goals, policies and operating plans.

8.

Ensures that adequate plans for future growth and sustainability.

9.

Establishes an organizational hierarchy and delegates limits of authority to
subordinate senior leaders regarding policies, contractual commitments, expenditures and personnel matters.

Ensures that NRMC has accurate budgeting for operations, cash management, and capital.

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels, including staff, directors, Administration, Physicians, Board members and community members.

Exceptional financial acumen and operations management experience.

3.

Ability to monitor trends in healthcare regionally and nationally to keep NRMC current.

Set the tone of the organization with regard to employee relations and staff development.

5.

Effective oral and written communication skills.

6.

Set the vision of the organization keeping NRMC vital and contemporary.

7.

Strong skills and experience in developing multidisciplinary teams and engaging them to problem solve.

Must understand physician needs and be able to work with physicians.

Understanding of sound management principles and effective human relations.

5 years high level leadership experience.

3-5 years Healthcare Leadership experience.

3.

Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration or Business or related field or comparable experience.

Exceptional leadership skills and a hands-on visible approach to staff management and interaction.

Willing to relocate to within 30 min of Vernon County, Missouri.

Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration.

Rural hospital setting experience.

Must be able to perform job under stress and long hours, including nights and weekends.

Possible exposure to inside environmental conditions.

Office-based but must be able to travel locally and regionally.
