*Base Wage starting at $36.00; increased based on experience

Essential Functions:

Consult with patients to learn about their physical condition.
Assess and interpret patient evaluations and test results.
Develop treatment plans using a variety of treatment techniques.
Create personalized fitness-oriented health care programs for patients.
Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve mobility.
Advise patients on exercise techniques.
Advise patients and their families about in-home treatment options.
Provide educational information about injury prevention, ergonomics and ways to promote physical health.
Consult and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
Document patient care history.
Comply with rules, regulations, and procedures.

Skills Abilities:

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels.
Ability to complete competency for CPR/First Aid.
Ability to perform simple mathematical equations.
Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Compassionate and attentive to detail. Ability to manage patients with different personalities.
Possess up-to-date knowledge of treatment practices.
Ability to write reports and correspondence at a professional level.
Ability to use a computer and software proficiently. Drive to continually learn new treatment techniques.

Working Conditions:

Exposure to distressed patients, families or visitors.
Possible exposure to inside environmental conditions.

Physical Demands:

Requires standing, sitting or walking for up to 8 hours or longer per day.
The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications: 

A master degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational institution.
Passed the National Physical Therapist Examination (NPTE).
A valid license to practice physical therapy.
Completion of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA)-accredited residency program.
 

Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years of experience
Experience in hospital setting preferred.
